The best in-series animation sequence by far was this one by Tadayoshi Yamamuro:
Good call. That is probably the best choice. I hope that man got a raise for making that one.
Trust me, every episode with Yamamuro's art is worthy of everyone's attention. It's simply outstanding.
He is even the best artist in the One Piece animation staff!
Too bad he didn't drew all of the episodes...

I never really could pick apart the different artists and distinguish them from each other. I would just realize that some episodes were drawn differently. You guys are impressive. I wish I had your skills.

The Goku vs. Majin Vegeta fight was always one of my favorites, though, and I did notice that it had wonderful art and animation.

Sadly, the worst animation ever was preserved in DBZ Kai...

I know it's filler and all, but seriously? Those screenshots come directly from DBZ Kai. How could they possibly have found it acceptable to leave that stuff in? They added one (new, never before seen or animated) scene during the saiyan saga, if they really wanted to keep that filler bit they should have just done it over completely.

Nice this is great! Im not sure if the Masunaga Keisugi guy is the one who did Dragonball as well but whoever did the animations in Dragonball when Goku rescues Tien from King Piccolo and Drum, that animation is BY FAR THE BEST, he is the same guy that did the animation for the following

Dragonball - The episode before "Changes" the one where they meet at the tournament all grown up, the one before where Tien, Krillen and Yamcha protect the village from the Lava

Dragonball Z - An episode where Gohan is surviving in the wilderness running with the t-Rex and he chops his tail off

Dragonball Z - The episode when at the start Nappa shoots the beam at Gohan and piccolo jumps in and dies and when Goku Arrives

Dragonball Z - When Vegeta fights Recoome

And yeah you guys get the deal, is that the Masunaga Keisugi guy? Im not sure because I know for a fact one of the last episodes he did was a little bit after the Frieza saga and he never animated for Dragonball again, at least thats what it said on the website I was on

The animation u mentioned (Goku saving Tien frm King Piccolo & Drum) was Maeda Minoru. He was the animation supervisor for most parts of DragonBall till mid Cell Saga.

Masunaga Keisugi took over the animations of DBZ frm episode 174 (pre-Cell Games).

He animated rougly only about 20 episode in 291 episodes of DBZ, but thats mostly cuz he could be expensive to hire.
